Fatal Otoe County car crash death of Barbara Brandt – Obituary

Barbara Brandt, a 75-year-old woman from Unadilla, Nebraska, lost her life following a two-vehicle collision in Otoe County on Thursday night. According to the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at about 7:39 p.m. near the junction of Highway 2 and County Road 20.

Authorities reported that a Buick Enclave was attempting to cross Highway 2 while heading southbound when it collided with a Dodge Caliber moving westbound along the highway. Brandt, who was driving the Buick, was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later declared deceased.

The driver of the Dodge Caliber was also taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover, as their injuries were described as non-life-threatening. Officials confirmed that both individuals were alone in their vehicles and had their seat belts fastened at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the accident.
