Jacarey Love dies in fatal Pompano Beach shooting

Fatal Pompano Beach shooting death of Jacarey Love – Obituary

The Broward Sheriff’s Office has identified 25-year-old Jacarey Love as the victim who lost his life in a shooting late Thursday night in Pompano Beach. The incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. near the 3200 block of Northeast First Avenue, prompting a rapid response from both deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue.

 

Upon arrival, deputies found Love suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately began life-saving efforts, including CPR, as seen in video footage from the scene. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later declared dead.

 

A second individual was also injured during the shooting and received treatment at the hospital for wounds that were not considered life-threatening. Authorities have not yet released that person’s identity.

 

According to neighbors, Love was a devoted father and a kind individual who kept to himself. The Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case and has asked anyone with information to come forward.
