Fatal Litchfield crash death of Jeffrey Day – Obituary

Authorities have identified 57-year-old Jeffrey Day of Londonderry as the motorcyclist who was killed in a suspected road rage incident in Litchfield, New Hampshire.

According to law enforcement, the crash occurred when 19-year-old John Burke, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, deliberately struck Day while he was riding his motorcycle. Day succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

In an effort to avoid the collision, an SUV driver ended up crashing head-on into Burke’s vehicle. The SUV driver sustained injuries and received medical attention.

Following the incident, a judge ordered Burke to remain in custody at least until his court hearing scheduled for next week.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
