Stephen Mackey dies after being hit by a car in Anderson Township

Fatal Anderson Township pedestrian death of Stephen Mackey – Obituary

Stephen Mackey, a 74-year-old man from Anderson Township, passed away after being struck by a vehicle on the morning of May 1. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Salem Road. Hamilton County deputies and the Anderson Fire Department quickly responded to the scene. Mackey was transported to UC Medical Center but later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver involved in the crash stayed at the location and is cooperating with the investigation. Authorities have stated that there appears to be no indication of speed or impairment as contributing factors. It was also reported that Mackey was outside of the designated walkway at the time of the incident. After completing their investigation, authorities reopened Salem Road.
