Fatal Plano motorcycle crash death of Elvin Bonilla – Obituary

Twelve-year-old Elvin Bonilla has been identified as one of two people who died in a tragic crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck Saturday evening in Plano, Texas.

The incident took place around 7:15 p.m. in the 3500 block of 14th Street. According to police, Bonilla was riding a motorcycle westbound when a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction attempted to turn north onto Del Sol Drive. The motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the truck during the turn.

The collision caused serious injuries to both Bonilla and a passenger in the truck, 58-year-old Carmina Ramirez. The driver of the pickup, a 33-year-old man whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained minor injuries. All three individuals were taken to a local hospital.

Unfortunately, both Bonilla and Ramirez succumbed to their injuries. Investigators believe that excessive speed may have played a role in the crash, though the exact cause remains under investigation.

Plano Police are continuing to gather information to determine the full circumstances surrounding the accident.
