Fatal Baton Rouge shooting death of Kevin Dale Evans Jr. – Obituary

A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 40-year-old Kevin Dale Evans Jr., which occurred earlier this month in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported that the incident took place on the evening of Sunday, April 6, around 7 p.m., in the 3900 block of Geronimo Street. Officers discovered Evans inside a home, suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say a concerned friend arrived at the residence to check on Evans’ well-being and found him unresponsive. Following the investigation, police arrested 19-year-old Joshua Mancusi-Ungaro on Wednesday night, April 16. He has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and faces charges of second-degree murder and illegal use of a firearm.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
