Fatal San Antonio car crash death of Nayda Velez de Guijarro – Obituary

Authorities have identified the woman who lost her life in a high-speed crash on the Northeast Side of San Antonio as 50-year-old Nayda Velez de Guijarro, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The deadly accident occurred on Friday afternoon near the intersection of Harry Wurzbach Road and Loop 410. Law enforcement reported that a white Dodge Ram was heading south at a high speed along Harry Wurzbach Road when it collided with a black Toyota Tacoma that was turning left at the junction with Dalewood Place.

The impact struck the passenger side of the Tacoma, forcing both vehicles to spin uncontrollably into the center of the intersection. Velez de Guijarro, who was seated in the passenger seat, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the Tacoma was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The Dodge Ram’s driver was also hospitalized and is reported to be in stable condition. Investigators mentioned that charges could be filed pending further review of the incident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
