Fatal Evansville drowning death of Gary Brian Wilson – Obituary

Gary Brian Wilson, 57, was found dead in Pigeon Creek in Evansville, Indiana, earlier this week, with authorities confirming that he died from drowning.

 

His body was discovered around 7 p.m. on Sunday by a group of kayakers, who spotted him floating among a mass of driftwood just south of Diamond Avenue. Emergency responders confirmed that he was already deceased and beyond any resuscitation efforts upon their arrival.

 

According to the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office, Wilson’s death was officially ruled a drowning. Court documents show that he resided not far from where his body was found in the creek.

 

Investigators have not indicated any signs of foul play as they continue to look into the circumstances surrounding his death.
