Fatal Wayne train crash death of Kristy Joy Adger – Obituary

Officials have confirmed the identity of the woman who tragically lost her life after being struck by a train in Wayne earlier this month. Kristy Joy Adger, a 36-year-old resident of Lyons in Bernards Township, was hit by a Montclair-Boonton Line NJ Transit train on Friday, April 11, just before 3 p.m.

The collision occurred just east of the Wayne Route 23 Transit Center. Train #1001, which had left Hoboken at 1:58 p.m. and was headed toward Dover, struck Adger. Fortunately, none of the 27 passengers or crew members aboard the train were injured.
