Fatal Gulfport shooting death of Christopher Skinner – Obituary

Christopher Skinner, 34, of Gulfport, was fatally shot during a violent altercation near Azteca’s Restaurant & Cantina on Highway 49 on the night of May 5, according to local authorities.

Police reported that the confrontation broke out in the parking lot around 9:36 p.m. and escalated to gunfire. When officers arrived, they found Skinner suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency aid was provided on the scene before Skinner was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer confirmed Skinner’s identity and stated that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. The incident occurred during Cinco de Mayo festivities, a time when many were out celebrating.
