Colencia Davidson dies in fatal Atascocita shooting

Fatal Atascocita shooting death of Colencia Davidson – Obituary

Colencia Davidson, 39, was fatally shot outside her residence in Atascocita, and authorities have charged Thomas Sonnier, 44, with her murder.

Investigators say Sonnier, who shares children with Davidson, allegedly concealed himself in her garage and ambushed her when she arrived home. The attack occurred in the driveway, where he is accused of shooting her multiple times before fleeing the scene. Davidson was pronounced dead on-site.

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Davidson had recently ended a violent relationship with Sonnier.

The shooting took place on Upper Lake Drive, and Sonnier was later apprehended and booked into the Harris County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Davidson was an employee of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
