Fatal San Diego I-805 crash death of Grasiela C. Gomez – Obituary

Grasiela C. Gomez, a 65-year-old woman from Temecula, was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 805 on May 3, 2025. The incident occurred around 8:50 a.m., just north of 43rd Street, when Gomez’s silver Toyota sedan, which was stopped on the shoulder of the highway, was struck by a black Honda sedan driven by 27-year-old Markus Eugene Turner.

The impact led to a chain reaction, causing Turner’s vehicle to also hit a blue Honda sedan and a white Toyota sedan. Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene, while Turner, his two passengers, and the driver of the blue Honda sedan were transported to the hospital with injuries.

Turner was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked into jail on multiple charges. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the California Highway Patrol San Diego Area office.
