Fatal Abilene car crash death of Johnny King Jr. – Obituary

Johnny King Jr., a 70-year-old man from California, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-20 near mile marker 292 in Abilene late Sunday morning, authorities confirmed.

 

According to the Abilene Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m. when King lost control of his vehicle, veered off the highway, and collided with a tree. The impact caused the car to burst into flames.

 

Several bystanders came to the scene and managed to pull King from the burning vehicle, attempting to revive him. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

No other individuals were involved in the accident, and additional details have not yet been released.
