Mandy Adams dies in fatal Tarpon Springs pedestrian crash
Fatal Tarpon Springs pedestrian crash death of Mandy Adams – Obituary
Mandy Adams, 48, lost her life after being struck by a vehicle while walking along US-19 southbound near Woodhill Drive in Tarpon Springs on Sunday evening. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m., according to local police.
Adams was critically injured in the crash and taken to Advent Health North Pinellas, where she later passed away. She had been walking alongside 43-year-old Morgan Morris when the two were hit by a southbound 2020 Kia utility vehicle.
Morris sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center in Hudson for treatment.
The driver of the Kia, Steven Behrens of Tarpon Springs, and his female passenger were uninjured and remained on the scene. Authorities reported that both fully cooperated with the investigation.
At this point, Tarpon Springs Police say no criminal charges are expected in relation to the collision. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and officers are encouraging anyone who witnessed the event to contact Officer Matt Geer at 727-938-2849.
