Fatal Bulloch County house fire death of Russell Davis – Obituary

Tragedy struck the Stilson area of Bulloch County early Wednesday morning when a devastating house fire claimed the lives of four members of the Davis family.

Russell Davis, 56, his wife Wendi Davis, 55, along with their daughters Susannah Davis, 19, and Haley Davis, 17, were all found deceased inside their home on Stilson Road.

According to Bulloch County Public Safety Director Ted Wynn, the fire was first noticed by a volunteer firefighter heading to work who saw flames coming from the windows of the residence. Emergency responders, including deputies and fire crews from multiple Bulloch County volunteer departments, were dispatched to the scene at approximately 4:54 a.m., Sheriff Lynn Anderson stated.

Upon gaining entry to the burning home, fire personnel discovered all four victims had perished in the blaze. The tight-knit Stilson community now mourns the heartbreaking loss of a family widely known and respected in the area.
