Fatal Bowman, SC single-car crash death of Wilbert Neals – Obituary

Wilbert Neals, 62, of Orangeburg, tragically lost his life in a single-car crash on May 5, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Charleston Highway near Quincy Road, roughly 10 miles north of Bowman. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Neals was driving a 2007 Lexus when he veered off the left side of the road, struck a culvert, and overturned.

Neals was fatally injured in the crash, suffering blunt force trauma to the head, as confirmed by the Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
