Fatal Franklin shooting death of Dalyn Bell – Obituary
Dalyn Bell, a 20-year-old resident of Franklin, Louisiana, was shot on Tuesday evening, May 6, and later died from his injuries, authorities confirmed.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a call about a shooting around 7:15 p.m. on Bray Lane. Bell was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he passed away.
On May 8, two suspects, Alfred Collins Jr., 33, and Precious Joseph, 28, both from Franklin, were arrested in connection with Bell’s death. Collins is facing multiple charges, including second-degree murder, four counts of attempted second-degree murder, and two counts of illegal firearm possession. His bond has been set at $2.6 million.
Joseph has been charged as an accessory after the fact to second-degree murder, as well as for possessing MDMA and a Schedule I controlled substance. Her bond is set at $505,000.
The investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing.
