Elmer Ramirez Sosa, 20, was one of two men who lost their lives in a deadly head-on crash in Long Beach earlier this week, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

The tragic accident occurred around 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Seventh Street and Terraine Avenue. Long Beach Police and emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene following reports of a severe collision.

According to investigators, Sosa had been driving a Honda Civic westbound at a high speed when he lost control of the vehicle. The car crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a Honda Accord driven by 35-year-old Salvador Medina. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
