A deadly collision in southern Overland Park on Thursday evening took the life of 29-year-old Joshua Haines. According to police, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. near the junction of West 151st Street and England Road.

Authorities said the crash happened when a vehicle attempted a U-turn and struck an oncoming car that was traveling eastbound. Joshua Haines, the driver of the second vehicle, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the impact.

The driver attempting the U-turn was unharmed. Overland Park police continue to investigate the crash to determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
