Fatal Dana Point, California crash death of Rebecca Cespedes – Obituary

Sixteen-year-old Rebecca Cespedes of Dana Point lost her life in a devastating crash that occurred Tuesday shortly before noon, authorities confirmed.

According to Sgt. Gerard McCann of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Cespedes was driving a pickup truck along Dana Point Harbor Drive near Island Way when the vehicle struck a tree.

Cespedes was pronounced dead at the scene. Five other teenagers who were passengers in the truck were transported to a nearby hospital.

Among the injured, one girl and two boys were reported to be in critical condition, while another girl and boy sustained less severe injuries.

All individuals involved in the accident were identified as students at Dana Hills High School. Investigators have not yet released further details about what caused the crash.
