Teri Overton, a 60-year-old woman, was fatally shot in Des Arc on Wednesday night. The shooting occurred at 9:15 p.m. in the 300 block of South 15th Street, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.
Upon arrival, authorities found Overton suffering from gunshot wounds. She was later pronounced dead the following day. The Arkansas State Police has transported her body to the state crime lab for further investigation to determine the cause and manner of death.
As of now, no suspects have been named, and the investigation is ongoing.
