Dale Fasking, 66, was found deceased about a mile from the location where his RV had overturned in Norwich Township, Missaukee County, according to the local sheriff’s department.

Fasking had been missing since May 1, following the crash during his journey home to Traverse City from Las Vegas. Challenging terrain and swampy conditions complicated the search. Authorities received a tip when a resident came across a pair of shoes, later identified by family as likely belonging to Fasking. While preparing to relaunch a search and rescue mission, officials received another call from someone who discovered a body in a nearby Christmas tree field.

Law enforcement confirmed the deceased individual was Fasking. Earlier attempts to locate him had involved tracking dogs, aerial drones, and a helicopter. The precise cause of death has not yet been established, and the investigation remains open.
