Fatal Rochester shooting death of Danyelisse Pabon-Cubero – Obituary

Danyelisse Pabon-Cubero, 17, has died from gunshot wounds she suffered after being struck by a stray bullet during a shooting on Alphonse Street in Rochester in the early hours of April 30, according to Rochester police.

Authorities stated the teen was inside the first floor of a home on Alphonse Street just after midnight when gunfire erupted outside during a dispute. During the incident, a 30-year-old man was shot multiple times, and Pabon-Cubero was unintentionally hit in the upper body.

She was hospitalized with critical injuries and succumbed to them on Monday. Following her death, 18-year-old Michael Garcia of Rochester—who was previously charged with attempted murder, assault, and weapon possession—now also faces a second-degree murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting.
