Frenicka Craig dies in fatal Mobile shooting

Fatal Mobile shooting death of Frenicka Craig – Obituary

Frenicka Craig, a 28-year-old woman from Mobile and former basketball standout at Vigor High School, was killed in a shooting that occurred on April 17, 2025, at Sage Park.

The Mobile Police Department reported multiple arrests in connection to the shooting, which also injured another individual. Among those taken into custody were Jaquentin Brantley (19), Roderiquez Holifield (18), Mykeal Kimbrough (20), and Ladarius Moore (20).

All are facing charges of murder and first-degree assault, and are being held without bond as prosecutors seek to keep them detained under Aniah’s Law. Authorities also apprehended Quinterios Parker, 23, in Ohio, and a juvenile suspect will be tried as an adult.

Investigators believe Craig was not the intended target in the gunfire that erupted in the park, where over 20 shots were fired. Community tips played a major role in advancing the investigation, which remains active.

The FBI is also involved, and federal charges are being considered. Police say more arrests are possible as they continue piecing together the case.
