Fatal West Manchester Township crash death of Linda Freed – Obituary
A 73-year-old woman has passed away after succumbing to injuries sustained in a crash on Route 30, more than a week after the incident. The collision occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on April 25, near the intersection of Route 30 and Kenneth Road in West Manchester Township.
According to the York County Coroner’s Office, Freed, a passenger in the vehicle involved in the crash, was transported to WellSpan York Hospital for medical care. She died from her injuries 11 days later on a Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Linda Freed, was a resident of West Manchester Township. At the time of the crash, Freed was seated in the front passenger seat of a vehicle turning from Kenneth Road onto Route 30 when it was struck by a motor coach bus.
Authorities confirmed that she was wearing her seatbelt when the accident occurred. An autopsy was conducted the following Wednesday, though the cause and manner of death are still under investigation.
