Saead Ettefagh, 52, of Wildomar, died following a violent incident at a Yorba Linda park on Sunday, according to Orange County sheriff’s officials. Authorities say Ettefagh sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound during the confrontation.
Deputies were called to the scene at Canyon RV Park, located in Featherly Regional Park on East Santa Ana Canyon Road, around 2:40 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
Ettefagh, along with two other individuals who were involved in the altercation, was taken to the hospital. Investigators believe that all parties were acquainted and that the violence stemmed from a disagreement the previous day.
According to law enforcement, Ettefagh arrived at the park in a vehicle and allegedly tried to run over the victims, injuring one. He then exited the vehicle and opened fire on the men before turning the weapon on himself.
