Fatal North Richland Hills shooting death of Tahirou Diallo – Obituary
Authorities in North Richland Hills have arrested a man in connection with the deadly shooting of Tahirou Diallo, a 60-year-old rideshare driver from Hurst. The incident occurred just after midnight on Wednesday in the 8000 block of Mickey Street.
When police arrived at the scene around 12:01 a.m., they found Diallo and 30-year-old Kane Roden near a parked SUV. Diallo was already deceased. Officers discovered a gun next to Roden, who appeared heavily intoxicated at the time, and took him into custody.
Investigators believe Diallo was providing a rideshare service and that he and Roden had no prior relationship. Roden is now facing a murder charge, along with two unrelated charges involving domestic violence and violating a protective order. His bond for the murder charge has been set at $500,000.
Diallo’s family spoke of his deep commitment to his loved ones and his faith. His niece, Jariatou Ngaruko, described him as a caring man who always prioritized helping others.
The investigation into the motive behind the shooting is ongoing.
