Fatal Greenville County car crash death of Wesley Landon Guarino – Obituary

A deadly collision Monday night in Greenville County took the life of 31-year-old Wesley Landon Guarino of Mauldin, authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Woodruff Road and Vaughn Road, around the 1900 block, shortly before 10 p.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Guarino was heading toward Greenville in a Nissan when his vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Kia Forte making a left turn onto Vaughn Road.

The force of the crash pushed the Kia Forte into another Kia SUV traveling in the opposite direction. Emergency responders transported both surviving drivers to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Guarino was pronounced dead at the scene by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. A forensic examination was scheduled for the following day as officials continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The investigation remains active under the oversight of the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the county coroner.
