Fatal Cypress car crash death of Charlotte Stegall – Obituary

Charlotte Yvette Stegall was tragically killed in a rollover accident Saturday afternoon in Cypress, Texas. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Stegall, who was driving alone, lost control of her Mercedes SUV on Cypress North Houston Road.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m. as Stegall was heading west and, for reasons still unknown, crossed over into the eastbound lanes. Her vehicle veered off the road, collided with fences at several properties, and overturned before landing upright.

Authorities stated that Stegall was trapped inside the SUV and was found dead at the scene. She was the only occupant in the vehicle, and no additional injuries were reported.

The crash also disrupted power to parts of the neighborhood after the vehicle hit a power box, and a small fire was triggered when the SUV struck a gas barbecue grill. CenterPoint crews responded to restore electricity.

Investigators have not yet determined what caused Stegall to swerve off course. The crash remains under active investigation by Harris County officials.
