Eduardo Alfaro Jr, 32, was shot and killed on Sunday in Houston, Texas, allegedly by his stepbrother, Charles Storey, 50, while visiting their mother for a planned Mother’s Day dinner. The tragic incident occurred at their mother’s residence, where Alfaro had arrived to spend the evening with her.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of gunfire around 7:30 p.m. and discovered Alfaro with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say Storey was allegedly intoxicated at the time and that the confrontation between the two men escalated into violence.

Storey has been charged with murder and is currently held at the Harris County Jail.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez commented that the shooting has left a mother mourning the loss of both her sons on what should have been a joyful day. Further details about the events leading up to the shooting or the mother’s condition have not been released.
