Fabian Chimbo, a 32-year-old resident of North Corona, Queens, was fatally stabbed Saturday night during a violent weekend in New York City that left five dead across the boroughs. Police have not yet arrested anyone in connection with his death.

 

Officers responded to a report of an assault near 34th Avenue and 96th Street around 8:30 p.m., where they discovered Chimbo suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead. The NYPD confirmed his identity on Monday but did not provide details regarding a suspect or motive.

 

Chimbo’s killing was one of three stabbings that took place over the weekend, alongside two fatal shootings. All five victims died in separate incidents in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

 

The NYPD’s investigation into Chimbo’s death remains ongoing, with authorities asking anyone with information about the case to come forward. No leads or arrests have been disclosed as of yet.
