Fatal Fordham North stabbing death of Fode Bamba – Obituary
Fode Bamba, a 31-year-old man from Morrisania, was fatally stabbed Sunday evening in the Fordham North neighborhood of the Bronx. Authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the deadly attack.
Police were called to the area of East Fordham Road and Webster Avenue just before 6 p.m., where they found Bamba suffering from several stab wounds to the torso. He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. On Monday, the NYPD confirmed Bamba’s identity but did not provide any information about a suspect or possible motive.
His killing was one of five homicides that occurred throughout New York City over the weekend, marking a particularly violent stretch. Three of the deaths, including Bamba’s, were the result of stabbings.
The investigation into Bamba’s death is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
