Fatal Kansas City parking garage incident death of Russell Mason – Obituary

Russell Mason, 22, was found dead in a stairwell of a parking garage at 11th and Wyandotte early Friday morning, after a security officer discovered his body around 2:30 a.m. Police observed that Mason had “obvious trauma” to his body, though the cause of death remains unclear.

 

Investigators are working to determine whether Mason was a resident of nearby apartments, had parked in the garage, or had sought shelter in the stairwell.
