Fatal Schuylkill River death of Tonya Dupree – Obituary

Tonya Dupree, 57, was found dead in the Schuylkill River on May 10 after being involved in a tragic series of events in Montgomery County.

Authorities said Dupree had killed her husband, 62-year-old Robert Dupree Sr., at their King of Prussia home. Before the murder, she allegedly threatened her son at gunpoint, but he was able to wrestle the gun from her.

Police discovered Robert Dupree dead from gunshot wounds in their home, and an hour later, Tonya Dupree’s body was found in the river near Kelly Drive in Philadelphia. Authorities are investigating the situation as a murder-suicide and attempted murder.
