Kansas City police have confirmed the death of 29-year-old Carrisa Perryman following a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon in the West Blue Valley neighborhood.

Officers responded to a shooting report around 12:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Topping Avenue, where they found Perryman unresponsive in an alleyway with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save her, she was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
