Fatal Troy shooting update: Dakilia J. Carlisle and Kentravious D. Smith – Obituary
Troy Police Chief Danny Barron has confirmed the identities of the two victims involved in a shooting on North Knox Street in Troy, which occurred on May 7.
The incident, reported at approximately 1:13 p.m., took place near Oakwood Cemetery. Upon arrival, officers found Dakilia J. Carlisle, 22, and Kentravious D. Smith, 27, both of Troy, suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were rushed to Troy Regional Medical Center, with one victim later being flown to a Montgomery hospital and the other to a hospital in Dothan for further treatment. Both victims remain in critical condition, though their conditions are improving.
Troy Police Department detectives are working closely with the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office to investigate the shooting.
