Fatal Portland shooting death of Froilan Ortiz – Obituary

Froilan Ortiz, 49, lost his life in a deadly shooting early Sunday morning in Portland’s Old Town district. Officers arrived at Northwest Naito Parkway near the Steel Bridge shortly after 7 a.m. in response to reports of gunfire. When they got to the scene, they found Ortiz deceased in the roadway.

The Multnomah County Medical Examiner has determined that Ortiz died from a gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide.

So far, no suspects have been arrested, and the investigation remains active.
