Las Cruces police have identified the 18-year-old man who died following an officer-involved shooting on Walnut Street last Thursday.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on May 9, and police identified the victim as Josiah Perrault.
Another individual believed to be involved was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. Authorities have not released further details, but a news conference is scheduled for May 20 to provide more information on the shooting.
