Linda Lee Metzger, 78, and Charles Dean Metzger, 77, both of Lester, Iowa, tragically lost their lives in a car accident on May 9, 2025, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The crash occurred when their 2015 Ford Taurus, which had a flashing yellow turn signal, turned left in front of an oncoming GMC Sierra on Veterans Parkway. Linda Lee Metzger was declared dead at the scene, while Charles Dean Metzger was taken to a local hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries.

The driver of the GMC Sierra, a 35-year-old man from Harrisburg, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. The incident is still under investigation, with traffic cameras at the intersection being reviewed.
