Fatal Pierce County I-5 crash death of Sukhbeer Singh – Obituary

Sukhbeer Singh, 22, from Puyallup, Washington, tragically passed away in a fiery semi-truck crash on April 29, 2025, on northbound Interstate 5 near South 84th Street.

Singh was the sole occupant of the truck when it lost control, struck barriers, and caught fire around 4:46 a.m. Emergency responders from West Pierce Fire & Rescue extinguished the flames, but Singh was pronounced dead at the scene.

The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, with both directions of the freeway being shut down for several hours for cleanup and recovery efforts.
