Fatal San Jose crash death of Violet Owens Zamora – Obituary

Violet Owens Zamora, 25, from San Jose, tragically passed away on May 8, 2025, following a crash on southbound Highway 280.

Zamora, who was pregnant at the time, lost control of her Honda Civic, crossing all lanes of traffic before colliding with a Ford F-150 pickup truck. She was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene, along with her unborn child.

Investigators believe she was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident. Two young children, aged 2 and 5, were also in the vehicle but fortunately survived without injury. The California Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the incident.
