Charla Young, a former WDRB reporter and television host, lost her life in a tragic car accident over the weekend in Houston, Texas. She was 52 years old.
The incident occurred on Saturday when Young was driving her Mercedes SUV, which veered off the road and entered a ditch. The vehicle overturned, struck a fence and a power box, and eventually came to a stop in a residential yard. Authorities reported that Young became trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following her career in television, Young went on to establish Power to Exhale, a women’s empowerment organization focused on inspiring and uplifting women across the country.
