Fatal El Paso County car crash deaths of Colleen Baldwin and Anetia Baldwin – Obituary
Colleen Baldwin, 32, and Anetia Baldwin, 60, lost their lives in a two-vehicle collision Sunday near Peyton, Colorado, according to the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.
Colorado State Patrol troopers arrived at the crash site around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Elbert Road and Murphy Place. Both Colleen and Anetia were pronounced dead at the scene.
The two women were passengers in a Chevrolet Suburban when it collided with a Dodge Ram truck. Another occupant of the Suburban sustained serious injuries and was flown to a nearby hospital. Authorities noted that one person from the Ram also required hospitalization, while the truck’s driver stayed on-site following the crash.
The collision caused a road closure at the intersection for much of the afternoon as investigators worked the scene.
