Davin Boutwell, 19, was identified by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office as one of the victims killed in a double homicide crash that occurred Monday in Lakeland, Florida.

Authorities say Boutwell was driving a Mercedes in the Medulla area when the vehicle struck Nathaniel Jones, who was riding an electric bike along Pirates Way. The car then continued on and crashed into a nearby home. Both Boutwell and Jones were declared dead at the scene.

As emergency responders attempted to save Boutwell, they discovered a gunshot wound in his chest. Investigators believe he was shot moments earlier during an attempted drug deal in the Secret Cove neighborhood. According to Sheriff Grady Judd, detectives have video evidence of the shooting and are seeking those involved.

No arrests have been made, and officials are urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Heartland Crime Stoppers, with reward money available. The investigation remains ongoing.
