Fatal Monroe County, Ohio car crash death of Hunter Boyd – Obituary

A tragic collision in Monroe County, Ohio has resulted in the death of 28-year-old Hunter Boyd of Tecumseh and left two others with serious injuries. The accident happened around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, in Rainsville Township.

 

Authorities say Boyd was driving east on South Custer Road near Strasburg Road when he veered across the centerline into the opposite lane, striking another vehicle head-on. Inside that vehicle were two women from Brooklyn, Michigan—one 50 years old and the other 25. Both women were rushed to Toledo ProMedica Hospital, where the elder woman was listed in serious condition and the younger in critical condition.

 

All individuals involved in the crash were reportedly wearing seat belts, and investigators have stated that neither speeding nor alcohol appeared to play a role. At this time, officials have not determined why Boyd’s vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic.

 

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
