Fatal Washington, DC shooting death of Jacquise Zanders – Obituary

Jacquise Zanders, a 21-year-old man from Southeast Washington, DC, was fatally shot inside a restaurant on Benning Road during a violent incident that took place Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the shooting around 5 p.m. on May 13 in the 4500 block of Benning Road SE. When they arrived, they discovered two men who had been shot.

Paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but Zanders was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
