Peter Blin, 60, was killed Sunday morning in Colorado Springs after being struck by a train, local authorities confirmed.
Officers responded around 11:45 a.m. to the area near East Mill Street and South Nevada Avenue, where Blin was found deceased beneath a train. Investigators reported that the train had been traveling northbound when Blin allegedly stepped into its path.
Preliminary findings suggest Blin may have intentionally entered the train’s route. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The crash disrupted traffic for several hours on southbound Royer Street at East Las Vegas Street as officials gathered evidence.
