Authorities have confirmed that the woman found dead after a car crash on Tuesday morning in Greenville County was Susanna Sauvola, who had been reported missing just days earlier.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred along Highway 14 near Berry Mill Road. A Lexus sedan traveling north veered off the roadway, descended an embankment, collided with a tree, and overturned. The driver was pronounced dead at the site.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office later identified the victim as 44-year-old Susanna Sauvola. Her family had reported her missing on Sunday after she failed to return home. She was last seen in the area during the early hours that same morning.

The incident remains under investigation by both the Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
