Fatal Dallas North Tollway crash death of Trania Jackson – Obituary
Trania Jackson, 28, of Cedar Hill, lost her life early Monday morning in a tragic wrong-way collision on the Dallas North Tollway near Royal Lane, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash occurred just before 1:30 a.m. when a 2017 Nissan Altima, reportedly driven by 50-year-old Michael Majewski of Arlington, was headed north in the southbound lanes. The vehicle first sideswiped an 18-wheeler before crashing head-on into a 2016 Nissan Altima.
Jackson, a passenger in the 2016 Altima, was pronounced dead at the scene. The car was being driven by Shakila Hudson, 31, also of Cedar Hill, who sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Majewski and three additional passengers — Delonna High, 34, of Huntsville, Alabama; Bianca Stroughter, 32, of DeSoto; and Chuanteya Weaver, 24, of Indianapolis — were all injured. High and Stroughter were taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, while Weaver and Majewski were taken to Parkland. Majewski remains in critical condition.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was unharmed. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
