Fatal Hialeah shooting death of Yoendris Campos – Obituary

A deadly shooting in Hialeah on Tuesday afternoon left 33-year-old Yoendris Campos dead following a dispute between neighbors, according to local authorities. The incident took place at an apartment complex located near East 9th Street and 7th Avenue.

Police say Pedro Blanco, 55, approached the unit Campos was visiting and knocked on the door. When no one responded, he returned to his own apartment. Campos then opened the door, and Blanco allegedly turned back and shot him once, fatally wounding him.

Campos, a father originally from Cuba, was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, Pedro Blanco, was taken into custody and is now facing a first-degree murder charge.

Investigators continue to look into what led to the altercation that ended in this tragic loss of life.
